Musical Offering: Beethoven
String Trio A gift from Saul and Naomi Cohen Performed by: Laurent Chatel (violin) A student of Jean Mouilleris, in 1999 he graduated with a Premier Prix de Violon from the Conservatoire National Superieur de Musique de Paris. Presently he is studying at Longy School of Music with Roman Totenberg in the Artist's Diploma program. Alexandre Lecarme (cello) A student of Jean-Marie Gamard, in 1997 he graduated from the conservatoire National Superieur de Musique de Paris with a Premier Prix de Violoncello. Studying with George Neikrug, he received a Master's Degree from Boston University School for the Arts in 1999 and is currently in the Artist's Diploma program studying with David Soyer. Recognized as a great talent and a fine performer and musician, Mr. Lecarme has been awarded for five years the Boston University Dean's Scholar scholarship and a grant from the Saul B. and Naomi R. Cohen Foundation. Melissa Reardon (viola) made her debut as a soloist with the Boston Symphony Orchestra at the age of thirteen. Melissa received her Bachelor's Degree from Curtis Institute of Music in May 2000 where she studied under Michael Tree, Karen Tuttle, and Joseph dePasquale. She is currently a student of Kim Kashkashian at the New England Conservatory of Music in her second year of graduate studies. |
